COLDHEADER
When winter weather moves in, we say “let it snow!” Bundle up and try one of these survival tactics from Lindsey and Gwen’s playbook. New Yorkers at heart, they’ve got some tricks up their sleeves including food to warm you and events to lift your mood.

1. HOMEMADE CHILI | BOYD FAMILY RECIPE
Lucky for Lindsey, her husband Jeff knows how to whip up an amazing chili on a cold day. The recipe’s a family secret though so this second favorite will have to do.

2. SKIING | MT. PETER
The Boyd family is all about being outdoors in the winter. They love winter sports, playing in the snow, building snowmen, and snow tubing with their inflatable sled tubes. Mt. Peter is a great place for kids to learn to ski. Plus, it’s only an hour away from NYC!

3. CONCERTS | THE LINCOLN CENTER
The Lincoln Center has an amazing line-up of shows and events all winter long. Lindsey already has plans to attend the 25th Anniversary concert performance of Crazy for You with her sweetheart.

4. RELAXING FIRESIDE | MARLTON HOTEL
When she’s not relaxing fireside at her Bridgehampton home, you can find Gwen lounging near the fire at the Marlton Hotel in Greenwich Village.

5. NANCY ATLAS FIRESIDE SHOWS | THE BAY STREET THEATER
One perk of the season? Nancy Atlas performs limited-engagement fireside shows at The Bay Street Theater in Sag Harbor. Gwen is a fan.

6. TOMATO SOUP | BAREFOOT CONTESSA
During winter weekends, Gwen enjoys trying a new recipe from Cooking for Jeffrey by Ina Garten or a trusty favorite from one of the Barefoot Contessa books. These days, she modifies the cream and skips the best part – the grilled cheese.
