You’ve seen his work before, gracing the pages of Martha Stewart Living, InStyle, and House Beautiful. When design genius Eddie Ross isn’t hard at work as the East Coast Editor of Better Homes & Gardens, he’s leading his devoted design followers through sold-out flea market tours across the country. His inventive out-of-the-box approach to high-style decorating and entertaining on a budget is truly inspirational and his book Modern Mix: Curating Personal Style with Chic & Accessible Finds should be required reading for any aspiring designer. We’re honored to call Eddie a friend of The Laundress and excited to feature him in our I am The Laundress profiles.

My most laundered item is…
A set of snugly, soft monogrammed bath towels from a friend.

My favorite laundry tip or trick is…
A life saver at parties. If a tablecloth or napkins get stained and you don’t have time to wash them right away, wet them thoroughly, roll them in a towel to remove excess water, and place them in a plastic bag in the freezer. Keeping the stain wet helps prevent it from setting in.

The most important laundry tip I learned growing up was…
Never to put antique linens in the dryer!

I make laundry an enjoyable task by….
Using pretty baskets, brushes, and bottles. Just because you’re doing laundry doesn’t mean you have to feel like you’re in a laundromat.

My proudest laundry victory is…
Learning how to wash my favorite cashmere sweater without shrinking it.

My favorite Laundress product is…
A toss-up between the All-Purpose Bleach Alternative and the Signature Detergent.

I used to be afraid to wash…
Vintage silk remnants I’d find at flea markets until I started using the right products.

My laundry room is…
Under construction—and a dream in the making!
